For What Are You Thankful?

Is everyone ready for Thanksgiving or Turkey Day as many call it?  Is the family coming over for dinner or are you the lucky ones who get to travel and not cook a huge feast?

As for us, we are a mixed bunch this Thanksgiving.  Half of us are headed to family and the other half are hosting.  Both sides have their benefits, but the biggest benefit is we get to enjoy time with our families, who we may not get to see all year.  I mean, who else would we want to stuff our face with once a year?

From football games to afternoon naps Turkey Day is all about quality time with the people you love.  It is a time to be grateful for the people around your table and to give pause for the people who couldn’t make it this year.  With comfort food and warm hearts we celebrate all of our blessings, no matter in what form they come.

So for what are you thankful this year?  As you look around your home as well as your table what rounds out your top 5 things for which to show gratitude?

We like to keep it simple.  The top 5 things for which we are grateful, in no specific order: our jobs, rooves over our heads, family to love and who love us, food in our bellies, and of course the ability to garden.  Gardening has often helped us bond or spend quality time with family on many occasions as well as produce healthier food options for the whole family.  It is amazing that the earth can help us provide for our families every year and is always something for which we are ultimately grateful.

Here’s to a great Thanksgiving from all of us here at Coopersmith & Son to all of you.  We appreciate you and we wish you the best Turkey Day ever!
